A Natural Home was founded by Linda Chess (a sibling) and parents of adults with severe intellectual and developmental disabilities. The founders knew with proper care, a severely developmentally disabled adult can grow intellectually and become self advocates to the best of their abilities. A Natural Home was organized to open a special needs home with a family-like environment for adults with similar developmental disabilities. The term 'natural home' refers to a home where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live family members; their parents, sibling or other relatives.
A Natural Home plans to build a special needs home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who do not live in their natural home. We want to make it possible for disabled adults to live in a comfortable stress free home with professional and caring staff.
